International Women’s Day
Jamshedpur: Nari Shakti Jamshedpur hosted a grand felicitation and cultural ceremony at Tulsi Bhavan in Bistupur to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event honored the achievements of women across various sectors and drew prominent personalities alongside a large gathering of local women.
Nari Shakti President Aparna Guha led the program, while Mumbai-based artist Gaurav Kumar conducted the proceedings. Former Health Minister Banna Gupta attended as the chief guest. Special guests included Brahma Kumaris’ Sanju Behen and Jyoti Behen, educator Sushmita Khan, Tulsi Bhavan General Secretary Prasenjit Tiwari, and Congress District President Parvinder Singh.
Women as the Embodiment of Strength
Addressing the audience, chief guest Banna Gupta described women as the embodiment of strength and divinity. He noted that women currently excel in every field and urged society to respect and support their ongoing contributions.
The celebration featured vibrant cultural performances, including a captivating dance by Jayshree Karmakar that drew enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
Spiritual Growth and Recognition
Sanju Behen from Brahma Kumaris encouraged women to pursue spiritual growth. She led the audience through a meditation session designed to promote inner peace and mental strength.
To mark the occasion, the organization presented mementos to 51 women in recognition of their notable contributions and dedication to society. The event concluded with a collective appreciation for women who continue to inspire the community through their work and commitment.
