Jamshedpur, March 20: The inauguration of 53rd Annual Conference of Clinical Society of TMH was organised at TMH Auditorium on 19th March, 2016.
The two-day medical meet between 19th and 20th March, 2016 included a preconference CME on different medical topics of common interest.
It was followed papers on scientific research by doctors from TMH, Dispensaries and Mines & Collieries
Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel, formally inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, he congratulated the Tata Main Hospital faculty on regularly conducting the Clinical Society workshops and upgrading themselves on all technologies and medical know-how, crucial for serving the patients at Tata Main Hospital.
On March 19th, 2016 the event included presentation of original research papers by DNB postgraduate, a case presentation session and award paper session.
An interesting Panel Discussion on �Adult Vaccination� moderated by Dr Asit Mishra along with faculty from different departments. Dr Subhas Chandra Samal, a famous gastroenterologist from AMRI Bhubaneswar delivered a Guest Lecture on �Hepatitis B Management�. The function concluded with a guest lecture by Dr Arun Mullaji, an eminent orthopedic surgeon based out of Mumbai, on �Knee Replacement, Past Present and Future.
On 20th March, 2016 the session started with a lecture by Dr B S Rao, HOD medicine on human insulin co formulations, which will show a path to newer modalities of treatment for Diabetes.
There was a talk on Arrhythmias (Abnormal Cardiac Conduction) by Dr Mandar shah the cardiologist from the CARE Group of hospitals heading the cath lab of TMH.
This will be followed by a Mediquiz conducted by Dr Sudhir Mishra and finally a Valedictory. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory function was TV Narendran, MD, Tata Steel, India & SEA Narendran applauded the efforts of TMH doctors in paper writing and research work. He added safety should be most important aspect of all tasks.
The Clinical Society of Tata Main Hospital has been a forum for academic and scientific activities for the last 53 years.
It has grown over the years and has helped doctors develop and sharpen their skills of presentation and publication.
The Annual Conference is a major event where doctors from different locations of Tata Steel share their experiences as well as interact with guest speakers of national and international reputation.
