Chaibasa : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday motivated the people of poll bound Jharkhand to give his party a ‘full majority’ in assembly elections so that he could provide them with ‘full development’.

Addressing an election rally at Chaibasa in Jharkhand, Modi said, “What you need the most is to have a government with ful majority. Give me ‘full majority’, I will give you ‘full development’.”

Modi reminded people the kind of demands that are made by allies in a coalition government. “BJP is committed to the overall development of Jharkhand, bring us to power in state with absolute majority.

Because you know it very well what kind of demands are made when there is no majority government, “added Modi.

Modi reminded people that it was Atal Bihari Vajpayee who formed a separate ministry for the welfare of Adivasis. He said that Adivasis are most happy in BJP ruled states like Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

The PM dressed in dark grey waistcoat and grey kurta and white pyjama began his address immediately attempt to connect with the locals after his trademark ‘Bharat Mata Ki jai’ was greeting people in Ho, ‘sabin hogo hondo misi ko johar’ (greeting to all brothers and sisters).

He then attempted to connect with people of Chaibasa (the district headquartersof West Singhbhum ) by saying ‘aap Chaibasa waale hain aur main chaiwala, isse humara naata ekdum pakka ho jata hain (You are from ‘Chaibasa’ and I am a former ‘Chaiwala and it makes our relationship becomes very strong).

Exhorting the people of poll bound Jharkhand to give his party a ‘full majority’ in assembly elections so that he could provide them with ‘full development’.

“What you need the most is to have a government with full majority. Give me ‘full majority’, I will give you ‘full development’.

He also reminded the people about demerits of coalition government by stating the kind of ‘demands’ that are made by opportunistic allies in the coalition government.

He cited the example of states such as Maharashtra, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, all of which have a tribal population and a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government. Modi said: “With the support of the tribal people, BJP will form government in Jharkhand with a clear mandate.

“He ridiculed the Congress for seeking a report card of his government’s six months’ performance in office. “Those who did nothing in 60 years are seeking a report card of six months of my government,” he said.

He said Jharkhand can become a developed state as it is rich in natural resources, minerals, land and mines. “I want the people of the state to become rich as its land is rich,” he said.

This was Modi’s second rally in Jharkhand. The state went to polls Tuesday in a five-phase elections to the state Assembly.
