Narbheram Hansraj English School introduces Students Cooperative Store

Jamshedpur, Aug 14: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) has taken a significant step by introducing a Financial Education program into its school curriculum. As part of this initiative, NHES has set up a Students Cooperative Store, offering stationery and food items for sale during regular recess period. The store, which will be managed entirely by students under the supervision of teachers, aims to empower students with valuable management skills and practical experience in financial transactions.

The establishment of this store holds the potential to equip students with essential life skills while fostering a sense of responsibility and entrepreneurship. The profits generated from the store’s operations will be directed towards supporting deserving and academically accomplished students, highlighting the school’s commitment to both education and social welfare.

The inauguration of the store took place on August 14th, with Nakul Kamani, President of the School Managing Committee, officiating the event. Devang Gandhi, Joint Secretary, also graced the occasion with his presence. The school’s Principal, Paramita Roy Chaudhury, and Kathakali Ghosh, Head of the Economics Department, lauded the students’ initiative and the positive impact it is expected to have.

By integrating financial education and practical experience through the Students Cooperative Store, Narbheram Hansraj English School is setting a commendable example, nurturing not only academic growth but also life skills and responsible citizenship among its students.
