NAAC accreditation workshop concludes at Graduate College Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 27: A two-day workshop on “Strengthening Institutional Excellence: A Workshop on NAAC Accreditation” concluded successfully at The Graduate School College for Women. The workshop, organized in collaboration with the Jharkhand State Higher Education Council (JSHEC) and the Department of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Jharkhand, focused on enhancing the college’s readiness for NAAC accreditation.

On the concluding day, Principal-in-charge Prof. Veena Singh Priyadarshi welcomed the guests, resource persons, and participants. She expressed satisfaction with the progress made on Day 1 and emphasized the importance of teamwork in securing the highest NAAC grade for the college.

The first technical session was led by Dr. Sanjay Gorai, IQAC Coordinator at Kolhan University, Chaibasa. Dr. Gorai provided a comprehensive overview of the NAAC accreditation process and the new transformative guidelines. He highlighted the critical role of thorough documentation in achieving a high NAAC grade.

The second session featured Dr. Amitabh Bose, former Proctor of Kolhan University, and Dr. Nirmala Shukla, former Head of the Department of Botany, Kolhan University. Dr. Bose conducted practical training on feedback designing and analysis, stressing its role in improving institutional quality. Dr. Shukla focused on personal and professional excellence through interactive training using a questionnaire.

The workshop concluded with a valedictory session, where Ms. Dipti presented the workshop report, and Dr. Arundhati Dey delivered the vote of thanks. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees.

The event was a success, benefiting numerous participants, thanks to the efforts of organizing secretary Dr. Banashree Dey, joint secretary Dr. S.S. Hansda, and the dedicated staff of the college.
