Mystery shrouds death of 40-year-old man in Jamshedpur’s Bhuiyandih

Jamshedpur, Sept. 12: The body of a 40-year-old man was found lying in a pool of blood on Slag Road at Bhuiyandih under Sitaramdera police station area on Saturday early morning, triggering sensation in the local area.

The man, who was in jeans and a full-sleeved shirt, could not be identified though the police had kept on the spot for identification for over four hours. Police recovered the body at about 10 am and sent it to the MGM Medical College Hospital for a COVID test before sending it to the medical college mortuary at Dimna for a post-mortem.

“We are investigating the incident. We have seen the body and found no mark of injury on it.   It may be a case murder or a case of accident or something else, which can be detected only after an autopsy is done,” said Sitaramdera police station OC, Anjani Kumar Singh.

Meanwhile, the police have started scanning CCTV cameras installed privately along Slag Road. “We are studying footage of a number of CCTV cameras so that we may identify the man in any of the footage, if not able to see the way he died.  We need to know whether any criminal gang was involved,” said the Sitaramdera OC.
