Musical end to holy month, Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari to perform in city

Jamshedpur: Famous Bhojpuri singer Manoj Tiwari will perform in the Steel City on August 4. The famous singer will participate in the last Monday of the holy month of Shravan.

Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh, a philanthropic organisation, will host a cultural soiree, featuring Manoj Tiwary and his 17 -member troupe. Over 20,000 people are expected to see the performance during the function at Sakchi Gurudwara ground.

Founder of the sangh, Amarpreet Singh Kale announced that this event is being organised from last 13 years on Antim Sombari.

�We are taking every step to ensure proper arrangements. A waterproof pandal spread over 30,000 square feet will be constructed. We will also put up special illuminations on the stretch of Kalimati Road in front of Sakchi Gurdwara,� he said.

Entry will be through special passes. People from all walks of life, including senior political party leaders, representatives of various corporate houses and social activists, will be among the audience. Har Har Mahadev Seva Sangh had been organising function on the last Monday of Shravan.

Bhojpuri singer Bharat Sharma had performed at the grounds while noted bhajan singer Lakhbir Singh Lakkha had mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice in 2009.

Popular Bhojpuri singers Manoj Tiwari, Kalpana Patwari and Devi had also staged performances here in the past.

One of the highlights of the function will be the Sangh Ratna Award, which was instituted three year back for professional excellence and distinguished service.

This year, eye surgeon Dr B P Singh and environmentalist Jamuni Tudu will receive the award.
