:Akaash Chitram 2005 is all set to release director Kamal Roys latest celluloid offering, Bondhu Amaar shortly. However, the much awaited music release of the film was held recently at the EIMPPA auditorium amidst much fanfare.

Five lilting numbers sung by Kumar Shanu, Kavita Krishnamurty, Vinod Rathor, Srijit Chakraborty and Priya enthralled the elite audience comprising, among others, film personalities and the press. Lyricist Lipi has penned such numbers that speak the multi-hued languages of romance.

Her time-tested and proved acumen is evident in her stirring lyrics that have been set to music by the Raj-Gunoynto duo. All the nuances of youthful romance from the naughty to the bawdy to the state of pining have a lilt that makes the compositions stirring. Not only are they foot-tappers and hummable but also evoke the sentiments of the lyrics as they are meant to be in keeping with the tone of the film.

Director Kamal Roy said, This is a film in the romantic genre. But it is not a run-of-the mill presentation. The movie takes a peep into the trials and tribulations that are inherent in a love story, in a different perspective.

Falling in love and taking decisions hastily may invite layers of problems and pain. That is why, Bondhu Amaar is a romantic film with a difference. It does have the usual lighter moments, but in its entirety, is a serious insight into the social and familial garnishing that is inherent under such circumstances.
Royal Film Company and RK Sharma have presented this film.
