Jamshedpur: Former Marwari Mahila Manch Jamshedpur unit Santosh Dhoot, after consultations with family members donated her mother-in-law�s eyes as a gesture to the cause of humanity through the good offices of the Manch that incidentally ensure the fourth such donation. Murli Devi Dhoot who was 85 years old, died today. She left behind four sons Dhitarmal, Sanwarmal, Arun and Sanjay and their families. The donation was made at the Dhoots� residence on Jugsalai Purani Basti Road.
Marwari Mahila Manch is conducting a nationwide drive in the sphere of eye donation. The organization�s Eye Donation Drive chief Sushila Khirwal, Dr Vivek Kedia and executives of ROSHNI provided support for the eye donation today. Manch president Vibha Dudani, while applauding the Dhoots for their exemplary gift of their late matriarch�s eyes said that with more people coming forward to donate eyes, the was not far off when people would start donating other body organs for transplant to patients suffering from specific organ-related diseases.
