Jamshedpur, Dec 4: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Returning Officer Ravi Shankar Shukla visited Jamshedpur Cooperative College and reviewed preparations for the second phase polling on 7th December. He sought updates from all election cells and issued directions to the election officials concerned.
Shukla inspected the strong room on the college premises and also saw arrangements at the dispatch and receiving centres for polling materials. He later inspected the vote counting hall and vehicle parking space. He asked the officials to ensure better upkeep of electronic voting machines (EVMs) and VVPATs, CCTV cameras. He said electricity supply should be regular and round-the-clock.
Among others present on the occasion included Dhalbhum SDO Chandan Kumar, ADC Sourav Kumar Sinha, SRO Naveen Kumar, ADM Law and Order Nand Kishore Lal, Ghatsila SDO Amar Kumar, NEP Director Jyotsna Singh, Kanu Ram Nag, DTO Dinesh Ranjan, DPRO Rohit Kumar and other officials.
