Mural paintings spread message of cleanliness in city

Jamshedpur: Mere Rang, Desh Ke Sang, a programme aimed at spreading the message of sanitation given by the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan of PM Narendra Modi, was organized at Kerala Public School, Burmamines.

It was held under the aegis of Change India Foundation and Kerala Public School. It was inaugurated by Dr Srikant Nair, director of Kerala Public School.

More than 120 volunteers comprising students and artists participated in the programme by making mural paintings.

Painting the walls with their imagination, they appealed to the people to keep the city clean.

Under the programme, paintings are being made across 8500 square feet area. Modern and tribal art forms can be seen in these paintings. The purpose of the programme is to make the city beautiful and keep it clean, said the organizers.

Among others present during the programme included the principal of the school Harvinder Kaur, vice-principal Manjula Kumari, campus in-charge Vinod Chandra and Rachna Nair.
