Jamshedpur: Mumbai Police, in coordination with Sidhgora Police, conducted a swift raid on Monday and apprehended Prem Prakash, a fraud accused who had been evading arrest. Prem Prakash, son of Ashok Sahay from Doneri Godda, Mumbai, was taken into custody after being tracked to a relative’s house in Sidhgora, where he had been hiding to avoid arrest.
On Tuesday, Prem Prakash was presented before First Class Judicial Magistrate Surendra Bedia. Khairabadi Police Station Sub-Inspector Sagar Ramesh Paveshi requested a transit remand to transfer the accused to Bandra Magistrate Court No. 23 in Mumbai. The court granted a five-day transit remand, allowing Mumbai Police to proceed with their investigation.
The accused is implicated in Khairabadi Police Station Case No. 554/2024 under Section 420, which pertains to fraud. Acting on court orders, the police initiated the operation that led to his arrest. Late in the evening, the Mumbai Police team departed for Mumbai with the accused in custody.
