Jamshedpur, May 3: Tata Football Academy (TFA) administrator Mukul Choudhari has taken over as administrator of Tata Steel sports department.
Choudhari has been assigned an extra job after Padma Shri Charles Borromeo quit as head of the sports on April 27 over alleged irregularities in the tendering process of synthetic track.
Choudhari was given additional charge of the sports department then. Choudhari, however, will continue to handle the affairs of Tata football Academy (TFA) in the same capacity.
Choudhry took over as the TFA administrator on March 15 last year. Before joining the football cradle, he worked with Indian Football School in Mumbai as general manager.
He also worked at the post of Director- Academy of the Manchester United Soccer Schools initiative in India. He also had a stint with Mumbai Football Club and Mumbai Tigers Football Club.. Choudhry also worked as a senior manager with the Essel Group.
He basically hails from a football background and the new role is a challenge for him. Choudhry’s primary job will be to efficiently organize the sports summer camp starting at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on May 10.
