Chaibasa, Dec. 29: West Singhbhum deputy commissioner Dr Shantanu Kumar Agrahori on Thursday flagged off the Mukti Caravan to create awareness about Bachpan Bachao.
The vehicle was flagged off from Chaibasa on Thursday. The ‘Mukti Caravan’ will tour the various part of the district to bring Bachpan Bachao awareness among the people.
While addressing the gathering, DC said, we must be sensitive towards children, women and elderly and must not allow human trafficking where the middle man carry out this work without the knowledge of the government and sell them in metro cities.
They undergo huge physical and psychic torture sometime and their identities are also changed and become victim to the physical exploitation.
The government is taking all necessary step to stop such trafficking, DC also appealed the people to cooperate by informing the administration on any such issue. SP Anish Kumar Gupta said, Jharkhand is facing human trafficking problem and we must stop it at the earliest.
The people should cooperate in curbing the crime and help in arresting the culprits those who are involved in such act. SP supported the safe migration policy.
Municipal president Neela Nag also expressed his views.
A street display was also staged on the occasion.
Present on the occasion were Sanjay Kumar Mishra, IAS Harsh Chirania, Vikas Dodrajka, including other government officers and public.
