Mukhe released from Jail after 13 months

Jamshedpur, Dec. 19: Gurmukh Singh Mukhe, former president of the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee was released from Ghagidih central Jail on Saturday. Supporters in large number welcomed Mukhe as he came out of the jail. After his release from jail, Mukhe went straight to Sakchi Gurudwara and paid obeisance. Sikh leaders were also present on the occasion.   

Accused of conspiring to attempt the murder of Jharkhand Sikh Representative Board President Gurcharan Singh Billa and his wife, Mukhe was in jail since the last 13 months. He was granted bail on December 16 by Jharkhand High Court Judge Anil Kumar Chaudhary. 

It may be noted that an FIR was lodged against Mukhe and Ambe at Sitaramdera police station in November 2019. On November 9, Gurcharan Singh Billa and his wife went to the Sitaramdera Gurdwara to pay obeisance. Bike riding criminals surrounded them and Gurudacharan Singh was fired upon. Two bullets were hit in the waist. After this the culprits escaped. The injured were admitted to the Tata Main Hospital. Mukhe was sent to jail for murder plot.

An FIR was lodged at Sitaramdera police station against Gurmukh Singh Mukhe, Amarjeet Singh Ambe and others on the complaint of Gurcharan Singh Billa’s wife. Mukhe and Ambe were sent to jail on charges of conspiracy to murder.
