Mail News Service Jamshedpur, August 7: ADM (Law and Order) Nand Kishore Lal and City SP Subhash Chandra Jat held a meeting with the members of the licensed Muharram committees regarding observation of Muharram. The meeting was organized at the Azadnagar police station where in City SP Subhash Chandra Jat stated that in view of the government’s COVID guidelines Akhara committees were to observe the festival rituals accordingly. He categorically stated DJ music, use of mikes and immersion processions would not be allowed. Giving further details, Jat said that breaching of guidelines would attract administrative actions. He made it clear that four persons from each Akhara would perform Karbala for flag immersion. The timings of immersion were to be fixed by the participating committees to avoid crowding. The committee members present agreed to abide by COVID protocols and other administrative strictures. Those present in the meeting also included Patamda DSP Sumit Kumar, Azadnagar police station in-charge Naresh Prasad Sinha, Mango police station in-charge Vinay Kumar, Ulidih police station in-charge Meghnath Mandal, peace committee's Mukhtar Alam Khan, licensee Md. Ashfaq Alam, Ashraf Hussain, Anwar Khan, Anwarul Haq, Sanaullah Ansari, Samsher Alam, Tahir Hussain, Sheikh Badruddin and others.
