Divakar Singh Re-Elected President of Jharkhand State Rifle Association for 2025–2029

Jamshedpur: Divakar Singh has been unanimously re-elected as President of the Jharkhand State Rifle Association (JSRA) for the 2025–2029 term. The election was held during the Association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday at Pardih, Jamshedpur.

The election process was conducted under the supervision of the Jharkhand Olympic Association, which deputed Anand Bihari Dubey as its official observer.

The AGM commenced at 11 am with the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting. JSRA General Secretary Uttam Chand presented the annual report, after which the income and expenditure statement for the financial year 2025–26 was discussed and unanimously approved. The general body also appointed M/s Gobind Agrawala & Associates as auditors for the financial year 2025–26.

The election process was conducted in accordance with the schedule and guidelines issued on December 15, 2025, by Returning Officer Advocate Ravindra Kumar. He informed the house that all office bearers were elected unopposed. Besides Divakar Singh as President, Uttam Chand was elected General Secretary, Nityanand Singh as Honorary Treasurer, Vinay Kumar and Kumar Dev Ranjan as Vice Presidents, Madhur Agrawal as Joint Secretary, and Jayesh Amin and Mrityunjay Rai as Secretaries.

For the Executive Committee, elections were held for eight posts from among ten nominees. Following the voting process, Amar Kumar Sinha, Arvind Kumar Ojha, Azad Kumar Pathak, Gaurav Raj Singh, Mayuri Mukherjee, Nitish Kumar, Ranjan Kumar, and Vivek Panja were elected as Executive Committee Members.

Addressing the members after his re-election, Divakar Singh, who is also a Governing Body Member of the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI), thanked all members and district associations for their continued trust and support. He said that a comprehensive roadmap would be prepared over the next four years to help shooters from Jharkhand achieve medal-winning performances at the national level and further strengthen shooting sports across the state.
