Jamshedpur: The MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato met Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday and requested him to include Jamshedpur under the AMRUT (Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation) Yojana.
Mahato said the Union Minister had assured to find a way out to include Jamshedpur under the AMRUT Yojana. Naidu also said that he will be coming to Jamshedpur very soon, Mahato said.
It may be mentioned here that the MP had raised the demand to include the city under the abovementioned scheme earlier so that flyovers may be constructed in the city and road accidents may be prevented.
Then he was told that the proposal in this regard should come from the state concerned.
Mahato said he had also written to the state minister CP Singh and demanded that a proposal for inclusion of Jamshedpur in the said scheme should be sent to the Central government.
