MP meets Gadkari, seeks speedy completion of highway projects

Jamshedpur: The MP of Jamshedpur Vidyut Varan Mahato met Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in New Delhi on Wednesday and demanded measures to ensure re-construction of the National Highway 33 and National Highway 6.

In a memorandum handed to Gadkari, Mahato demanded construction of NH33 from Pardih up to Bankura via Pardih, Asanbani, Patamada, Katin, Bandowan and Khatra.

He said tenders for the project should be floated as soon as possible.

He further said that the NH6 should be constructed afresh from Hata to Bombay Chowk via Hata, Mosabani, Dumaria, Asti, Gudabandha and Koima. He also sought approval for the construction of a road from Kashida More up to West Bengal border via Hurlung from Central Road Fund.

Gadkari told the MP that work on the said projects was under progress and that very soon the projects would be implemented. He said the announcements made by him would be completed in time.

The MP sought Gadkari�s attention on the slow pace of project pertaining to the widening of the NH33. Gadkari said it was a serious issue and that he would take decisive action in this regard.
