Jamshedpur, May 24: Mango Notified Area Committee (MNAC) on Wednesday sealed the under construction flat near Yeshu Bhawan on Old Purulia Road, Mango a day after an elderly (82) died after a wall of the flat situated in the fourth floor of the building fell on the hut next to building.
The operation was led by special officer Jagadish Prasad were other officials of the notified area sealed the building.
It may be noted that rain accompanied with wind wreaked havoc as several trees fell all around the city on Tuesday evening.
In Mango, Kamal Pramanik was in the house along with his wife Gangeshwari Pramanik when a part of the wall of the underconstruction fell on their hut which resulted in death of Kamal Pramanik on the spot while his wife was severely injured.
The last rites of the deceased was performed on Wednesday after his son Panchanan Pramanik received Rs 15 thousand while money for death due to disaster will be provided with a couple of days. Gangeshwari Pramanik has been admitted to MGM Hospital and is suffering from severe head and legs injuries.
Azadnagar Police informed that the builder of underconstruction flat is Irshad Khan, a resident of Mango. Assistant Engineer of the MNAC Rohan Ranjan said that all the papers of the flat were inspected and the sealing process was carried out.
