Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato met Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday and held discussions on various upcoming projects including two national highway projects in East Singhbhum. He sought progress report on the highway projects and demanded early completion of the same.
Mahato said the survey work for the proposed highway projects had been completed. He said the tenders were yet to be floated despite passage of two years from the date of announcement. He said he had written to the Jharkhand CM in this regard.
Gadkari told Mahato the road was clear for the two projects. He said there was sufficient fund available for the projects.
During Gadkariís visit to Ghatsila on 27th January 2016, the Jamshedpur MP had demanded extension of NH6 to Hata, Mosabani, Dumaria, Asti, Gudabandha, Koima and Bombay Chowki and extension of NH33 to Pardih, Asanbani, Beltand, Patamada, Katin, Bandhwan, Jhargram and Lodhasoli.
