Jamshedpur: Ravindra Nath Singh, a para-teacher of Patamada, sought the help of Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato on Thursday to get the dead body of his wife released from Tata Main Hospital. He could not foot the medical bills of his wife who passed away during treatment on 11th June last. His wife, Sarita, was reportedly suffering from jaundice. She was admitted to the hospital on 6th June in serious condition. During discharge, Ravindra was asked to pay Rs 1.20 lakh. Due to non-disbursement of his honorarium, he could only pay Rs 50,000. Acute financial crisis also deprived Ravindra’s children from school education. Finally, Ravindra met the MP and sought his internvention. The MP talked to the hospital authorities and got the body released.
