Flag march in Seraikela, security beefed up for Eid

Jamshedpur: Seraikela-Kharsawan police beefed up security across the district in view of Eid on Thursday. Cops led by Ranvijay Singh, Officer In-charge of Seraikela PS, carried out flag march in the area. They visited various localities especially those inhabited by a majority of Muslims. Senior police officials appealed to people to celebrate the festival with gaiety and communal harmony. They said strict action would be taken against those trying to foment discord among various communities through social media. SP Chandan Kumar Sinha said people should not pay attention to rumours.
