MP flags off JNAC�s polythene collection vehicle

Jamshedpur: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato flagged off a polythene collection vehicle of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) at Sakchi on Thursday. He praised the JNAC authorities for their fight against pollution to make the city clean and environment-friendly.
The MP was accompanied by the state Khadi Boad member Kulwant Singh Bunty, JNAC Special Officer Sanjay Kumar and MP�s representative Sanjeev Kumar.
According to the Special Officer, the vehicle would be used to collect plastic discards from households and various localities. The vehicle would also spread public awareness on plastic pollution in the city. Unused polythene bags may be voluntarily deposited in the vehicle. No fines would be imposed on people for depositing plastic, he said.
