Baharagora: �The people from every walk of life have to come forward to rid Baharagora Lok Sabha constituency of Tuberculosis. Social taboos and stigmas about Tuberculosis have to be wiped out,� stated legislator Kunal Shadangi while flagging off the publicity van provided by USAID.
Kunal informed that check for Tuberculosis and its treatment were easily available at the health centre free of cost. �It (Tuberculosis) is very much a curable disease,� he added.
People present on the occasion included Block chief Sashtri Hembram, legislator�s representative Dipak Barik, JMM block president Asit Mishra, REACH consultant Krishnendu Ghosh, WHP�s Subroto Mahanty, MO in charge Dr Om Prakash Chaudhary, TB Champions Sushma Mahali and Vandana, STS Dhananjay Mahto, ANM volunteers and social workers.
The program was anchored by REACH consultant Krishnendu Ghosh who also offered the vote of thanks.
