Jamshedpur: Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) hosted its second consecutive Alumni Meet at the school auditorium, bringing together around 100 alumni from across the globe for a heartwarming reunion. The event was a nostalgic occasion, with alumni reconnecting with their alma mater and revisiting cherished memories.

Principal Sangeeta Singh warmly welcomed the attendees, while the event was graced by members of the School Managing Committee and UP Sangh, along with former Principal Ashu Tiwary, faculty, staff, and other dignitaries. The highlight of the evening was the presence of Sanjeev Jaiswal, a prominent Bollywood actor and writer, who was felicitated as the Guest of Honour.

The event’s success was largely due to the relentless efforts of Tr. Smita Majumdar, the alumni moderator, who coordinated the entire program. Dr. D.P. Shukla, Honorary Secretary, also felicitated the first batch of 1999, which was celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year. The alumni were delighted to be reunited with their mentors, who were present to grace the occasion.
The evening was filled with cultural performances, beginning with a welcome dance by teacher Pamela Paul. The musical band Syed Nadeem Live delivered a grand performance, while stand-up comedian Shankar Pandey had the audience in splits. A Qawali performance by 2024 alumna Tiyasha Karmakar mesmerized everyone, and alumna Rituparna Bhaduri left the crowd spellbound with her golden voice during her solo performance.
Special awards were presented to Gurprasad Singh (2009 batch) for being the most active alumnus and Abhijeet Kumar (2004 batch) for being the Best Supporting Alumnus. The evening concluded with an inspiring address by Prashant Kumar (2008 batch), Vice President at Bank of New York. The event was a resounding success, with alumni celebrating their school’s enduring legacy and connections.
