Jamshedpur: Residents and morning walkers expressed outrage following a chain snatching incident reported early in the morning at Link Road, Kadma. The incident has once again raised concerns about the safety of people who regularly use the stretch for morning walks and jogging.
Strongly condemning the incident, Sudhir Kumar Pappu, head of the Morning Walking and Jogging Group, demanded strict action against the criminals. He pointed out that many men and women frequent the Link Road during early hours, making it a vulnerable spot for such crimes.
Local residents noted that similar incidents have taken place on the road in the past, yet security arrangements remain inadequate. The group has urged the district administration to strengthen police presence during morning hours. They demanded regular deployment of mobile Tiger Police units and intensified patrolling to deter miscreants and ensure the safety of walkers.
The incident has highlighted the need for immediate preventive measures to restore public confidence. Citizens have appealed for swift police action to apprehend the culprits and for sustained vigilance to prevent recurrence of such crimes in the area.
