Monsoon session of Jharkhand assembly from August 22

Ranchi, August 14: Monsoon session of Jharkhand Assembly will now be held from 22 August to 28 August. This time there will be a total of four working days during the session.

Due to Saturday on 23 August and Sunday on 24 August, the session will not run on those two days. There will also be a holiday on 27 August. It is worth noting that the monsoon session was earlier scheduled from 1 August to 7 August and it was also inaugurated on 1 August.

However, due to the demise of Dishom Guru and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren on August 4, the session was adjourned indefinitely with immediate effect.

After the adjournment of the session, the revised date has been issued by the Assembly Secretariat, according to which now the monsoon session will resume from August 22.

During this time, the government will try to complete many important legislative works. Let us tell you that on August 22, the first supplementary expenditure statement of the financial year 2025-26 will be presented. After that there will be mourning. In this, tribute will be paid to Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.

There will be holidays on 23 and 24. There will be Question Hour on 25 and the first supplementary expenditure statement will be discussed. There will be Question Hour on August 26 and government bills will be introduced and passed. There will be a holiday on Ganesh Chaturthi on 27. There will be Question Hour on August 28 and government bills will be introduced, after which the members of the Legislative Assembly will present their respective non-government resolutions.
