Monkey’s sudden appearance at BJP Rally in Jharkhand interpreted as Lord Hanuman’s blessings

Ghatsila, Oct 18: A rather unusual yet heartwarming moment stole the spotlight at the BJP’s election rally for the Ghatsila Assembly by-election when a monkey climbed onto the stage and embraced a party leader, leaving the crowd both astonished and delighted.

The incident occurred during the nomination event of BJP candidate Babulal Soren, attended by several senior leaders including State BJP President Babulal Marandi and former Chief Minister Champai Soren. As the leaders addressed the gathering, the monkey suddenly appeared on stage and quietly sat beside BJP leader Ramesh Hansda.

At first, there was a moment of panic among those present, fearing the animal might turn aggressive. However, to everyone’s surprise, the monkey behaved calmly, even hugging Ramesh Hansda affectionately, as if in a gesture of blessing. Hansda responded kindly, offering the monkey some food, while the audience quickly pulled out their mobile phones to capture the unexpected scene.

The spontaneous act soon took on a spiritual tone. Many in the audience interpreted it as a divine sign of Lord Hanuman’s blessing, given the timing and the symbolism associated with the monkey God in Hindu belief. Laughter and devotion filled the air as people discussed the rare sight, calling it a “miracle of Hanumanji” and a “good omen” for the party.

Reacting to the incident, Ramesh Hansda said, “When the monkey came near me, I was scared at first. But when it didn’t harm anyone and instead hugged me, I felt as though Lord Hanuman Himself had come to bless me. It seemed to say, ‘Keep doing your work faithfully; success will follow.’”

After a brief stay on stage, the monkey calmly descended and walked toward the crowd before disappearing into the nearby area. The rally then continued peacefully.

The episode has since become the talk of the town in Ghatsila, with many BJP supporters viewing it as a symbolic and auspicious sign ahead of the by-election —  an unexpected yet memorable moment where politics and faith beautifully intertwined.
