Ranchi, Feb 17: Addressing the Momentum Jharkhand Global Investor’s summit 2017 on the second and concluding day, Union Minister of Law and justice, Ravi Shankar Prasad, said that in the last two years, 72 mobile manufacturers have come in India, he said, adding that Jharkhand is fast adopting itself to the digital revolution.
Prasad said the digital growth of India in the last couple of years was phenomenal. Speaking about the growth prospects of Jharkhand, he said the state had an unmatched abundance of natural resources required for a meteoric rise of the state among other states in terms of economic growth only if the resources are utilized skillfully and effectively.
“Momentum Jharkhand is a change in thinking, in mindset. In the very first Summit if 11,000-plus delegates arrive, then Jharkhand has arrived! Jharkhand has done major work in IT, which can be leveraged for boosting business too.”
Further, citing the importance of Income Tax payments, the Union Minister said that while the country has 125 crore people only 3.70 crore pay taxes.
