Mohammed Sanan Returns to Indian Senior National Football Team Camp

Jamshedpur, Sep 20: Jamshedpur FC’s Mohammed Sanan has rejoined the Indian Senior National Football Team camp, setting his sights on making a significant impact in the Indian National Team. Sanan’s maiden call-up to the senior national team probables for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers marked a major milestone in his career.
For Sanan, the senior camp was both a recognition of his progress and a challenge to elevate his game. “Training with the national camp is a big motivation,” he said after returning to Jamshedpur FC. “It pushes me to keep improving here with the club, because the next time I go back, I want to be even sharper and ready to contribute.” Sanan emphasized the importance of applying the lessons he learned from the national camp to his daily training with Jamshedpur FC.
Sanan’s call-up to the senior national team camp came after a stellar 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season with Jamshedpur FC. His impressive performances, characterized by direct wing play and ability to unlock defenses, made him one of the team’s standout youngsters. His consistency at both club and international youth levels caught the attention of senior national coach Khalid Jamil, who included him in the 30 probables for the qualifiers against Singapore.
Sanan’s international journey gained momentum earlier this year with the India U23 team. He provided a crucial assist against Qatar in Doha and featured in friendlies against Iraq in Malaysia, showcasing his skills against top-level opposition. Now, Sanan is determined to translate his international experience into tangible results on the pitch.
