Jamshedpur, August 4: The Safe Club of Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) organized safety awareness activity in the school�s common hall on Saturday.
�The best drivers are aware that they must be beware!� The main objective was to make students aware of the statistics of road mishaps all over the world according to the World Health Organization, with a special focus on Jamshedpur and Jharkhand.
Through a power point presentation students were explained the need for being alert with respect to safety in all aspects of life. The presentation was especially focused on road safety which normally takes away maximum lives. Through this sensitization program, students of class 6 to 8 understood the value of government prescribed safety rules.
Later a quiz was conducted and some real life case studies of situations which prompt the young generation to fall prey were given to the students. Their answers were discussed at length and the best three of each level bagged prizes. First prize was won by Chandragupt Sharma, Aditya Pandey and Rachit Singh (Std. VI) followed by Shazeb, Rajkumar and Anushka Kumari (Std. VII) and Shristi, Bhavika and Sanika (Std. VIII).
The power point presentation was shown by teacher Smita Das and the quiz was conducted by Teacher Suchsmita Chakraborty. Ajit helped in coordinating the event.
