MNAC starts fogging to control vector borne diseases

Jamshedpur: Mango Notified Area Committee has launched anti-mosquito campaign in its area of jurisdiction with the view to prevent epidemic breakout of various vector-borne diseases, especially dengue, malaria, chikungunya and Japanese Encephalitis.

The campaign started off Saturday evening with fogging in Gurudwara Busti and few other adjoining localities.

The special officer of MNAC Sanjay Kumar said fogging will take place in a phased manner all over Mango.

He said special attention was being paid on running the campaign in localities situated on the banks of Swarnarekha.

He said the residents of those areas where fogging does not take place within a week should contact MNAC office. He asked the people to cooperate with MNAC and health department to control vector borne diseases effectively.
