Jamshedpur: Potka MLA Menka Sardar conducted an inspection of the under-construction bypass corridor near Rankini Mandir at Jadugora on Thursday.
She expressed dissatisfaction over non-compliance of safety norms by the workers at the construction site and gave a dressing down to the contractor�s on-duty staff.
She said the workers should be given safety gears including helmets.
The workers too, complained regarding lack of safety equipments and demanded that they should be given the same by the contracting company.
At this, Sardar asked the contractor to provide safety gears to the workers without any further delay.
The corridor is being built at an expense of Rs 36 crore.
