MLA Saryu Roy elected president of East Singhbhum District Kho Kho Association

Jamshedpur: In a unanimous decision, Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has been elected as the new President of the East Singhbhum District Kho Kho Association. The election took place during the Annual General Meeting and Executive Committee Elections held at Son Mandap, Sidhgora, on Sunday.

In addition to Roy’s election, several other key positions were filled: MP Singh was elected as Senior Vice President, while Vivek Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar were appointed as Sports Officers. Vice Presidents elected were Pawan Kumar, Ramnath Singh, Usha Bakhla, and Baldev Singh Nehra. Victor Vijay Samad will serve as Secretary, with Mukesh Kumar, Shravan Kumar, Radha Verma, Khushboo Vishwakarma, and Dayal Singh Mehra as Joint Secretaries. SK Sharma was elected as Office Secretary, Shyam Kumar Sharma as Treasurer, and Subol Chatterjee as Technical Director.

The event also saw the election of executive members, including Shambhu Mukhi Dumri, M Arshad, Rajkumar Singh, Gomia Sundi, Sidhu Kisku, Vivekanand, Chief Kumar, Gandharva Kumar, Vishal Kumar, Amritlal Minj, Aarti Vishwakarma, Simmi Kumari, Anita Mahato, Shivaji Tiwari, Sudeep Kumar, Nitin Kumar, Balram, Upendra Banra, Lallan Singh Yadav, Kamlesh Kumar, and Narendra Kumar.

Representatives from all eleven blocks of East Singhbhum district, Kho Kho enthusiasts, and both former and emerging players participated in the general meeting. The election was overseen by senior advocate Shiv Shankar Prasad and assistant advocate Rakesh Oraon, with Godwin Topno (President Simdega District Kho-Kho Association) and Satyendra Prasad (Secretary Chatra District Kho-Kho Association) serving as observer and assistant observer, respectively.

Special invitees included Santosh Prasad (General Secretary Jharkhand State Kho-Kho Association), Jagdish Prasad (Secretary East Singhbhum Kabaddi Association), Gopal Kumar (Secretary Jharkhand Taekwondo Association), international basketball coach JP Singh, international master athlete SK Tomar, and former international athlete NC Dev.

The election process concluded unanimously, and Treasurer Shyam Kumar Sharma delivered the vote of thanks.
