Jamshedpur, Oct. 16: Potka MLA Menka Sardar inaugurated a newly-constructed PCC road in Khairpal village of Podadih panchayat under Potka block on Sunday.
She broke a coconut on the occasion to mark the formal opening of the road for public use. The road has been named as Vishwanath Rana Path.
The MLA said the road had been constructed at a cost of Rs 4.5 lakh. She said she had promised to construct a road in the locality during elections. She said she aimed to lay a network of roads in Potka Assembly constituency area to facilitate smooth traffic and convenient commuting by the people.
The BJP leader said the development of any area could be gauged from the condition of roads in that area. She said the road was dedicated to the local residents who had long been demanding for it.
