Ranchi: Unidentified assailants attacked the carcade of Jharkhand Vikas Morcha MLA Satyendra Nath Tiwary late yesterday night in Garhwa.
They were however forced to retreat as the security guards of the MLA retaliated courageously. Police recovered a dead body from the scene this morning.
JVM president Babulal Marandi condemned the incident and said the attack was pre-planned. The superintendent of police Mayur Patel said the MLA was returning from a function in Ranka when the criminals stopped his vehicle and opened fire on his vehicle.
