Ranchi (IANS): Two unidentified miscreants hurled petrol bombs at a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Ranchi’s Nivaranpur area. Fortunately, the bombs failed to reach the office premises, preventing any damage or injuries. CCTV cameras captured the entire incident, and the police have launched an investigation to identify the culprits.
According to preliminary findings, the two assailants arrived near the RSS office late on Tuesday night and targeted the premises with petrol bombs. Investigators stated that the attackers prepared the crude explosives using glass chilli sauce bottles filled with petrol. One bomb landed near the boundary wall, while the other also fell short of the office complex. Consequently, the attack caused no damage to the building or surrounding property.

Ranchi City SP Paras Rana said police teams and forensic experts rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information about the incident. They have collected evidence from the scene and are conducting a detailed investigation.
“The investigation so far suggests that two youths are involved. CCTV footage from the area shows two suspects throwing petrol bombs toward the RSS office. We are working to identify and apprehend them,” Rana said.
During the investigation, police also uncovered information suggesting possible local motives behind the incident. Local residents pointed to an ongoing dispute between the RSS office and a nearby hotel. However, police have not officially linked the incident to this dispute and stated that they are examining all angles.
Following reports of the attack, several BJP leaders and party workers visited the RSS office. Among them, BJP Legislature Party leader Babulal Marandi condemned the incident and raised concerns over the state’s law-and-order situation.
BJP leaders demanded that authorities immediately arrest those involved and take strict action against the perpetrators. Meanwhile, senior police officials stated that they are progressing with the investigation using CCTV footage, forensic evidence, and other technical inputs. They expressed confidence that they would soon identify the accused and bring them to justice.
