Seraikela, May 27: Unidentified mischief-mongers set a car parked outside Birsa Munda Stadium in Seraikela on fire late Thursday night. The car, which belongs to one Rakesh Ranjan Pati, was completely gutted in the fire. The incident reportedly took place between 2.30 am and 3 am. Local residents informed police and fire department about the incident. A fire tender was sent to the spot. By the time it could reach there, the car was reduced to ashes.
Police recovered liquor bottles from the scene. They were informed that the street lights were switched off by the culprits before setting the car on fire. Police have registered an FIR against unidentified persons in this connection.
