Minister Ramdas Soren appointed Chairman of Jharkhand Goju Ryu Karate Do Association

Will support expansion of karate training across Jharkhand: Ramdas Soren

Jamshedpur, Feb 22: Jharkhand Goju Ryu Karate Do Association (JGRKDA) has appointed Ramdas Soren, Minister of Education and Literacy, as its new Chairman. The decision was made unanimously during a recently concluded meeting attended by instructors, coaches, and secretaries from all districts of Jharkhand.

A delegation comprising Shihan L. Nageshwar Rao, Sensei Sarju Ram, Sensei Priyabrat Dutta, Sensei Neeraj Kumar, and Sensei Raja Mandal formally presented a letter of appointment to Ramdas Soren at his residence, which he graciously accepted.

Expressing his appreciation for the association’s efforts, Soren lauded the work being done under the leadership of Shihan L. Nageshwar Rao to promote Karate across the state. He assured his full support in expanding Karate training in every district of Jharkhand. He also expressed his willingness to attend the association’s upcoming meetings.

Encouraging Karate practitioners, Soren extended his best wishes to all Karatekas of Jharkhand, urging them to train diligently, win medals, and bring pride to the state.

Shihan L. Nageshwar Rao further highlighted Shri Soren’s recent presence as the Chief Guest at the District Karate Tournament held at Majhi Pargana Mahal Bakul Hall in Ghatsila. During his speech at the event, Shri Soren recalled his experience of participating in several Karate tournaments alongside late Sudhir Mahato.

He also praised Tata Steel’s JRD Sports Department for organizing Karate tournaments efficiently and stressed the need for self-defense training for girls in Jharkhand. He emphasized that Karate training is crucial for women’s empowerment and should be actively promoted.

The Jharkhand Goju Ryu Karate Do Association is recognized by the All India Goju Ryu Karate Do Federation, Karate India Organisation (KIO), the World Karate Federation (WKF), and is registered with the Government of Jharkhand.

With Ramdas Soren at the helm, the association aims to further promote Karate and nurture future champions from Jharkhand.
