Mining officer raids illegal mining units

Jamshedpur: A team led by district mining officer Nadeem Safi conducted a raid near Hotel Citi Inn under Azadnagar police station area on Thursday. Six heavy vehicles carrying stone chips and sand were confiscated by the officials.
The mining officer said the campaign would continue in the coming days in order to curb illegal mining in the district. He said a task force is being set up to stop illegal mining activities.
The raid team members included mining inspector Rahul Kumar and the officer in-charge of Azadnagar police station.
