Jamshedpur, June 12: Members of Nivedita, a social initiative run by the women of Milanee, celebrated the organisation’s eighth anniversary by serving meals to cancer patients and their family members at a rest house near MTMH Cancer Hospital in Bistupur on Friday.
The programme was organised with the objective of extending support and care to those undergoing treatment and their attendants. Members of the group distributed freshly prepared food and spent time interacting with the residents of the rest house, bringing smiles to many faces.
Nivedita has been actively involved in community service and welfare activities throughout the year, working at the grassroots level to support underprivileged and needy sections of society. The anniversary celebration reflected the group’s continued commitment to humanitarian service.
Patients and their family members expressed happiness and gratitude for the thoughtful gesture. The members dedicated the occasion to the cause of humanity, making the anniversary a meaningful and memorable one.
Arijit Sarkar, Director of Team PSF, thanked the members of Nivedita for joining Team PSF’s ongoing food distribution campaign and supporting its efforts to serve those in need.
