Ranchi, Jan 29: Reviewing the Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development Department at Project Building here on Friday, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that migration is a major problem of the state and it can’t be controlled only by laws.
According to Das, migrants should be rehabilitated and provided with hostel and training. He said that people from the districts of Palamu and Santhal Pargana along with Gumla, Garhwa, and Simdega should be skilled, as it will help them get employment. Training in gardening, sanitation, masonry etc. should be imparted to the youths through short term training courses.
The CM directed the State Labor, Employment, Training and Skill Development Department to coordinate with other departments and arrange training and employment for the youths.
Five lakh people should be trained in 5 years, he said, adding, the poor laborers should be employed through welfare fairs and provided with rickshaws, sewing machines, tools etc. In order to make “Ease of Doing Business” more effective, the fee and factory license process should be simplified.
The CM said that Jharkhand will be made a model state by promoting the poor, deprived, tribal and backward masses.
He said that we have abundance of resources and all that needs to be done is to work with positive attitude.
It was said in the meeting that the employment exchange is being developed as a professional guide-cum-career study center. Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur are being developed as model career centers. The government is working to make all fee payments online.
State minister for labor Raj Paliwar, chief secretary Rajeev Gauba, principal secretary to the CM Sanjay Kumar, principal secretary, finance, Amit Khare and secretary to the CM Sunil Kr. Burnwal were present in the meeting.
