Jamshedpur: Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital(MGMCH) has decided to cancel all tenders passed in the last one year in order to improve the condition of the government hospital.
New model tenders will be issued by the hospital in place of the old tenders. This was informed by Dr Vijay Shankar Das, superintendent of MGM Hospital, on Tuesday.
Das said the work of cancellation of tenders will commence in December. He said new model tenders will be issued for laundry, cleaning and security works in the hospital. “We have decided to cancel the old tenders so that the present condition of the hospital may be improved. The process for issuing new tenders has been started. All tenders will be effective from 1st January 2017,” he said.
The superintendent said many tenders awarded for various works had been lying incomplete for the last several months. The time period prescribed to complete meet the requirements of the tenders has lapsed. “Under the model tenders going to be issued by the hospital, timely completion of work will be a must.
All norms and conditions laid down in the tender will have to be followed in letter and spirit,” he said.
