Jamshedpur, May 4: Jharkhand State Education Minister Ramdas Soren visited MGM Hospital on Sunday to meet the injured victims of the recent roof collapse incident. Speaking to the media, he stated that compensation will be provided at the earliest, as per the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

The minister also assured that the hospital will be relocated soon to prevent further risks and that all necessary steps would be taken to address ongoing issues at the facility. He directed the Hospital Superintendent to ensure that the injured receive proper care without any inconvenience. An official investigation into the incident has now been initiated.

Health Minister announces compensation
Jamshedpur, May 4: Three people lost their lives after being buried under debris in a tragic incident at MGM Hospital, the city’s largest government medical facility, on Saturday. State Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari arrived at the accident site late Saturday night to assess the situation.
The minister held an emergency meeting with the district administration and hospital officials and announced ex-gratia compensation of ₹5 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured. He assured that a high-level inquiry had been initiated and vowed that strict action would be taken within a week against those found responsible.
