MGM Hospital Jamshedpur prepares for Health Minister’s April 21 visit

Jamshedpur, Apr 18: In anticipation of Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari’s visit to Jamshedpur on April 21, preparations are in full swing at the newly constructed hospital building within the MGM Medical College campus on Dimna Road.

On Thursday, a high-level review meeting was held at MGM Hospital under the leadership of Medical College Principal Dr. D. Hansda, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Mandhan and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Jujhar Manjhi. The meeting was attended by heads of various hospital departments along with officials from the electricity, water and building construction departments.

The primary agenda was to identify shortcomings in the new hospital block and implement immediate corrective measures. Special emphasis was laid on enhancing cleanliness standards, ensuring smooth electricity and water supply and addressing challenges related to OPD operations and ward relocation.

“Every aspect of patient care and hospital functionality will be streamlined before the inspection,” said one official present at the meeting. Apart from infrastructure readiness, ongoing issues at the medical college and the main hospital campus were also reviewed.

Officials stressed on showcasing the full preparedness of the facility to the visiting minister and addressing concerns that may have been pending for long. The aim is to present a well-coordinated and hygienic healthcare environment during the ministerial visit.
