Meritorious Christian students to be felicitated Aug 30

Jamshedpur, August 27: Jharkhand Masihi Seva Samiti is all set to organize felicitation function of Christian students of Kolhan.

�This is the third straight year when we will be hosting the event at St. Joseph Welfare Centre Hall in Golmuri on Saturday, Aug 30 were Jamshedpur Diocese Bishop Dr. Felix Toppo will be present as the Chief guest while District Transport Officer Sanjay PM Kujur as Guest of Honour,� said Vijay Xavier of the Samiti addressing the media at St. Mary�s English School on Wednesday.

He further informed that all together 150 Christian�s students from three districts of Kolhan will be felicitated were Father James from XLRI will address the students during the event.

Five students from different missionary schools of the city and two from the churches will be selected on their performance. Along with the students, people of Christian society who have given their Special contributions to the society and the country will also be honuored, said Gurbari Hembram of the Samiti.

The Samiti has also suggested 25 names for special achievers while Lifetime achievement award will also be bestowed on Martin Tirkey, DJ Roy, Vincent R Arthed, Henry Sarkey, Victor Somaya and Vishal Vaibhav.
