Memorandum of demand for Tatanagar-Jaynagar train

Gamharia, Mar 9: MP Geeta Koda visited the Chhota Gamharia Durga Puja ground, where she received a memorandum from local Mithila residents led by Anil Kumar Jha, Secretary of the Public Durga Puja Committee Kapidungari. The memorandum outlined the persistent demand from Mithila residents to initiate a train service from Tatanagar railway station to Jaynagar via Darbhanga in Bihar. This demand has been a longstanding one, and its fulfillment is anticipated to provide transportation convenience to thousands of Mithila residents residing in Kolhan.

The residents emphasized that this demand has been voiced for several years, and the initiation of such a train service would greatly benefit the Mithila community in Kolhan. The memorandum was handed over during Geeta Koda’s visit, where prominent individuals such as Pramod Kumar Jha, Naval Narayan Chaudhary, Rudrakant Mishra, Praveen Chaudhary, Pandit Badri Narayan Jha, Sachchidanand Mishra, Vivek Jha, Vinod Jha, and others were present to support the cause. The MP assured to address the concerns raised in the memorandum, considering the ease of transportation for the Mithila residents in Kolhan.
