Members Chattisgarhi community stage demonstration

Jamshedpur : Members of Chattisgarhi community today assembled at the district collectorate this morning under the banner of Akhil Bharatiya Chattisgarhi Yuva Manch submitted a petition addressed to state chief minister Hemant Soren through East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amitabh Kaushal informing about their problems and their decision to launch statewide protest if government does not listen to their pleas within three months.

The members claimed that administration has made 1932 khatiyan mandatory for issue of khatiyan.

�Children from our community hailing from SC/ST, BC and OBC categories cannot enjoy government benefits while seeking admission in educational institutions and in getting job opportunities as they are not given caste certificates from the district administration due to want of 1932 khatiyan (land records).

The members also threatened that they would also meeting chief minister of Chattisgarh and apprise him of the problems faced in Jharkhand.
