Doctors pay tribute to Dr RP Thakur on 9th death anniversary
Jamshedpur, March 31: A free mega health camp was organized on Tuesday at an advanced skin hospital in Manifit by the B.R. Seva Sadan Charitable Medical Trust, Garabasa, to mark the 9th death anniversary of noted dermatologist Dr. R.P. Thakur. The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 600 patients receiving medical consultations.
A team of 13 experienced doctors from various specialties examined patients during the camp. The panel included Dr. G.C. Majhi (IMA President and General Physician), Dr. M.L. Jain (ENT Surgeon), Dr. Ajit Singh (Surgeon), Dr. Sanjay Johari (Urologist), Dr. Vivek Kedia (Eye Specialist), Dr. Nisha Chaudhary (Pediatrician), Dr. Megha Siddhesh (Gynecologist), Dr. Abhishek Kumar (Orthopedist), Dr. Rajiv Thakur (Dermatologist), Dr. Pallavi Thakur (Anesthesia and Critical Care Specialist), Dr. O.P. Thakur (General Practitioner), Dr. Divya (Dermatologist), and Dr. Riya (Dental Surgeon). After examining the patients, the doctors provided guidance on measures for disease prevention and protection.
In addition to consultations, free medicines were distributed, providing much-needed relief to attendees. The camp was spearheaded by Dr. Rajiv Thakur, who emphasized that the initiative aimed to carry forward the legacy of service established by his late father.
Several prominent personalities, including local MLAs Saryu Roy, Purnima Das and social workers, Lalit Das, Meera Munda, Pawan Singh, Rajkumar Singh, Arun Singh, Diljoy Bose, Mahavir Murmu, Pankaj Sinha, Amarpreet Singh Kale, Pappu Singh, Appu Tiwari, Prakash Dubey, Chintu Sardar, Chhotan Singh, Ram Babu Tiwari, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Kanhaiya Singh, were present on the occasion, extending their support to the noble cause. The organizers reaffirmed their commitment to continue hosting such camps in the future to serve the community.
